Frontier Reactions can enhance student reading comprehension through self-monitoring.
One of our teachers in New York created a Frontier Reactions anchor chart to display in her classroom. This chart reminds students that good readers think about their own reactions to a text as they read.
When students finish reading a text, they can select the emoji that resembles their reaction. Doing this can help them better retain the content they read and can help them locate important information in their notes to help with their project.
